Bold use of color and trusting his intuition are two of the main elements that Ignacio employs in creating works that elicit emotional responses from viewers. His work, at times, may be subtle, and at other times vibrant and bold. He is an experimental painter and credits his curiosity and broad interests to his philosophical formation. His paintings often begin with bold marks of paint followed by pouring and striking color. The process involves the gradual buildup of many layers of color and texture to create the final image. He has studied drawing in NYC with John Ruggeri, and currently studies with Cristóbal Anwandter in Santiago.
